Welcome to TREmendous Que's Competition BBQ page. Whether you are an avid, seasoned competition cook, dabble a bit from time to time in your backyard or fall somewhere in between, I hope that this page has something that helps you 'WOW' anyone from your friends at the cook-out to judges at the barbeque competitions.
Below you will find upcoming competitions/events (once registration is complete), previous competition results, recommend products, competition tips and links to helpful YouTube videos.
A few quick things to remember. Competition BBQ is NOT street or backyard barbeque. In other words, most of what you see and hear on the competition trail from the cooks is not what they would do when cooking for friends and family. Everything from their preparation to their cook process is about finding those perfect pieces for their turn in box. With competition barbeque, cooks have one, maybe two bites, to convince the judge that they have the best rib, brisket, chicken or pork that day. There is no time to be bashful or timid with your flavor profile. You must WOW the judges , so cooks use a myriad of tricks and techniques to pack as much flavor as they can into one bite.

Recommended Meat Thermometer
Thermoworks Thermapen MK4
This is easily the best meat thermometer I own. It is sturdy, quick and extremely reliable. My first experience with it was during an Operation BBQ Relief Deployment to Tallahassee after Hurricane Michael. These things were worth their weight in gold and I am super excited to now be rocking my very own orange and red Mk4.
